Best 11.4 channel THX Atmos receiver!!

This baby has it all!! THX Select 2 Certified, up to 11 powered channels with 19 different options. RCA style pre outs for all 11 channels and extra XLR outs for the fronts and 4 subwoofer pre outs. All the THX listening modes and literally all the dts and Dolby modes with the exception of dts:X, Neural X and Virtual X but Neo:X 11.1 is included. Can’t wait to hear all the Dolby Atmos music free on Apple Music!!! I’m blown away man, the Atmos and THX Surround EX are both incredible!!! Definitely everything I’ll ever need till I go up to 13 channels!

One of the greatest albums of all time!!!!

I definitely remember the day I got this in the mail!!! Unaware of this album even coming out at all, and greatly looking forward to it after playing “When The Pawn…” endlessly at the record store I managed, I was soooo looking forward to a Multichannel Surround mix from Fiona…which of course there is none 😖. It took the subtle push of my ex wife to get me into this one, and I refused to get over the lack of 5.1 as I tried to enjoy it😈. What you do get on the DVD side is one of the greatest albums OF ALL TIME in Enhanced Stereo (which increases the sampling rate from 44.1 kHz like a standard CD, to 48 kHz and yes, the sound quality is definitely noticeable), and a total of 3 videos, 2 of which are live and the other the official release…I will be updating this review when I have a chance to compare the sound quality of this disc to the Lossless version now available on Apple Music. So yeah, I was bummed about the Multichannel mix, but honestly, over the years this album is right up there with Physical Graffiti, making it extremely hard to choose which would be my desert island album. That’s saying a LOT!!! Fiona Apple 🍏 Rocks!!! Buy em all!!!

Moody Blues "Days of Future Passed" dts CD

This was my first dts CD experience and boy I can't wait to check out more. I wondered when I bought it how they managed to encode 5.1 discrete channels of sound, and I assumed at least a bit depth of 20, and possibly a 48 kHz sampling rate. It plays on my system at a mind boggling 1.4 Mbps bit rate. The fidelity would stand up to DVD audio MLP tracks. The surround mix is one of the finest I've ever heard; if you enjoy music in surround sound and are any type of audiophile, you must add this to your collection!! Update 2/20/22 I am about to purchase this again for the second time!! It’s that good! Great surround mix and sound quality!!
