"Name of the Rose": a Detective Story from the Reformation
Several years ago I purchased (on eBay) a DVD of this movie produced in Brazil. At that time no American DVD was available due to some licensing issue. That copy was terrible visually. This American issue of the movie is great - as is the movie itself. I have loved the movie since I first saw it. It's a very engaging story with great acting and wonderful cinematography. I haven't read the best selling book it is from, but I'd highly recommend this movie..

My favorite film - a little longer than Director's Cut, but not a big improvement over it.
1 of 1 found this helpful Blade Runner has been my favorite movie since it first came out. I now have three versions of the film - the original, the Director's Cut and this Final Cut. The Director's Cut was a great improvement over the original, but while this Final Cut may be a little longer than the Director's Cut I didn't see a great deal of improvement. Nevertheless, it is still my favorite film. The cinematograpy and soundtrack are outstanding.

The version you want to watch to see all three books.
While I liked the production values of the English version with Daniel Craig better in some ways, the Swedish version was good too, and the fact the other two books were done with the same characters made the Swedish version made it a bit better in my view.
