D-Link DCH-S150 mydlink Wi-Fi Smart Motion Sensor

D-Link DCH-S150 Wifi motion sensor
I had a few of these before I bought this used one on EBAY. This one has worked fine after two weeks of use. In case anyone is reading this review trying to get information about how this item works. I have a D-Link app on my smart phone called MyDlink, and after plugging this sensor in, I can detect it with the app to start the setup process. Once set up, when motion is detected I get a notice. Personally have it set to send a Push Notification to my smartphone. I can also choose to get an email. I believe one can set it to get both push notifications and email also. If you want real time notifications, then push notifications will do this. One can go into the D-Link app and temporary turn off the notifications if, say for example, you are in your house where the sensor is, and it's constantly going off while you are there. I my house, I just put a cover in front of the sensor while I'm there. Also there is a calendar function where one can set the day and times you want the sensor to active. If the sensor is set to "off" via the D-Link app, but is unplugged, then once it's plugged back in it defaults to the "on" mode. I have D-Link Wifi cameras as well, and they have motion sensing capability (and can send Push Notifications), but they are not as reliable as the dedicated motion sensor (DCH-S150). There have been a few times where the motion sensor should have been sending notifications, but wasn't. I remedied this by resetting the router and the motion sensor (unplugging, and then plugging back in).
