Top end MIDI File Player for singers and bands
I will state up front we are a Merish 4 importer in Australia, USA and UK. In response to a previous review there is no issue with Merish 4 firmware. Current version 1.6 is solid and Merish 4 was not released too early (according to the other review).
The Merish 4 is a top end MIDI File player and also plays back MP3 files. Merish 4 is used by musicians and singers in one nam, duo, trios and full bands.
The Merish 4 includes a huge screen, scrolling lyrics, user input/editable lyrics (MIDI and Mp3), 2 high quality mic inputs with on panel eq, reverb and delay.
Loads of features including external instrument input, a harmonizer, global instrument set mute (great for adding other muso's without editing song files), MIDI In/Out/Thru and a sensible file management system.
Merish 4 has an internal Italian designed General MIDi sound engine so you can take Merish 4 to a gig and leave all your other gear home. If you have powered PA speakers, you can almost certainly use Merish 4's mixer and leave bulky stage mixers at home.
Price wise, Merish 4 is near the top of the scale but you get what you pay for. Check out the 'how to' video's on the Hit Trax MIDI web site and learn how easy it is to use Merish 4.

If you are Aussie music fan from the 60's and early 70's or you then ZOOT LIVE - THE REUNION is a 'must have' in your music collection.
A must have CD/DVD of the most recent ZOOT reunion concert with the full original lineup. This will never happen again of course as sadly, singer Darryl Cotton passed away. The musicianship, vocals and production are superb as ZOOT thunder every hit and then some.
I would love to have this CD without the banter between songs and I would have omitted 'The Nightowls' only because it was under rehearsed and deserved better.
But they are my only two criticisms - if even that. If you are Aussie music fan from the 60's and early 70's or you then ZOOT LIVE - THE REUNION is a 'must have' in your music collection.
