Swayed from the book too much...
When this movie says "loosely adapted" it really means loosely. The concept is the same as the book but the movie ventures a bit from the book. Scenes that needed to be there wasn't and stuff that wasnt in the book was in the movie and didnt really make sense. Those random scenes I felt like were unnecessary to the plot point and just kind of made the movie trashier. Demi Moore was a good choice, she had the look of Hester, but the accent could have been better.

Best Demi Moore Film
One of Demi Moore's best movies if you ask me! I thought all the characters had depth and the script was fantastic! It is one of the best movies to encourage women's rights at that time!
