Goodbye metal roasting pans...
The old-school metal ones that I had been using never allowed me to keep an eye on what was cooking. With the glass one, I never need to open the oven to look at it, so I never lose heat or have to guess. That is a great thing if I have a chicken in the roaster and a side casserole cooking in the oven as well. I accidentally found out that the lid is tougher than I would have thought it to be due to some fool (me) bouncing it off the granite countertop when it was being washed in the sink. Also, when I realized that two could fit lengthwise in my oven side by side, I found another one, so that I can cook two stuffed chickens at the same time. One for us, and one for our parents who are dealing with some mobility issues. Of course, you would want to rotate them while cooking, but you know when because you can see them! Oh... did I mention that you can line it with foil for a soooooo easy cleanup?!?!
