Worth trying but you should have your own coding style first.
I like this book, the only issue is how they use the layout managers to set up the templates for the simulation, it was hard to follow, the plus side to that was it made me step up my own programming style, and the book to help me define that was Java A Multimedia Approach by Rhadika S. Grover, in Chp. 9 of that book it has an extensive section on layout managers so you can set up your simulation template much easier. If you choose not to set up the template and do the projects not only will your code be cleaner and easier to follow, but in my case that's when i was actually able to learn, so yeah i would probably recommend trying it, but before you do, just make sure you have your own style of setting up your programs.

Definitely worth taking a chance
I like this workout because it not only has you riding but it also has variations of exercises that you can do while riding or having you get off the bike to do different types of upper or lower exercises toward the end of the workout, working good for me, started out at 310pds. now in Sept. 2017 down in the early to mid 260s in pounds.
