Just what I needed

I'm not sure it would hold it zero if you were shooting slugs at long range, but I'm shooting turkey loads and this saddle mount scope base is plenty steady for that. It is low profile on the shotgun and you can still see down the vent rib. I don't know if this on is in production anymore. Glad I found it.

Good choke for Winchester longbeards XR

This choke has 6 (if I counted right) rings/steps in it, and straight rifling to keep the wad from spinning. It significantly improved my pattern over the chokes I was using. I was using a Preston Pittman (star dot) choke, a Browning/ Briley Full Strut. It patterned 3" Longbeard XR 1 3/4 the best. 5 shot and 6 shot patterns were great, 6 being tightest, although I think I may like the 5s better because the pattern was a little more even. It shot Winchester extended range good too
