Well built protection
1 of 1 found this helpful This thing is sturdy. With that said, this thing is heavy. The wheels are a nice touch to assist with the weight but an extendable handle would be nice so that you don't hit your heels while pulling it along. The rubber feet are nice as well for when using just the bottom. However, the case is designed to sit on the top with indentations on the corners which the rubber feet prevent from reaching. But it still sits somewhat safely on the top with just the rubber get.
Get the model with the chrome trim as the all black model shows wear more easily when the paint comes off the corners from normal use.
Overall great product. Good wood is just going to be heavy. I'd buy it again.

There are levels to this...
The Concert 288 is great if you need a mic for auxillary voice purposes. It's lightweight, easy to use, and economically priced. It does seem like a good fall would have you ordering a replacement mic. Also the body noise from just handling is annoying. But for occasional announcements or if on a stand it's perfect. Yes, Shure is better but also at least double the price for just 1 mic. Haven't tried it at the listed 300' range, which would be from 1 endzone to the other on a football field, but works well in normal range. For my purpose I would buy again.

Was excited at first…
I fully acknowledge that my experience with the one set of stands I received could be completely anecdotal. However, straight out of the box the knob to tighten the height was cracked off. The box was a little dinged up so I blamed that on shipping and fixed it myself by melding it back together with my soldering iron.
Then the first time I used them the brace that secures the height of the pole after you insert the pin broke off and went missing. I really wanted to like these because of the price but ALL of the cheap speaker stands I've purchased have had miscellaneous problems whereas NONE of my Gator Frameworks, Ultimate, ProLine, or OnStage stands have ever failed.
I like Rockville uplighting but these stands are a no for me.
