OK, i know its cheap and what can you expect for so low a price? Well, as a lump of metal it is not too bad and looks the business. The design would be better if the string did not have to locate through the centre and then out to one side of the bob to secure, this causes it to hang slightly off centre rather than perpendicular. Not good for accuracy. The worst aspect though is the string itself which snapped when i lowered the bob on first use ( i was gentle!) I tied a knot in it and tried again, another snap! Had to replace this weak and ineffective string with a decent piece. So there you have it, as the old saying goes you get what you pay for.

Historical drama, not too accurate but entertaining.

An entertaining film if you are interested in historical drama. I am not sure of its accuracy though. My main issue being that of Lord Fairfax conspiring to assassinate Cromwell in the film, a big deal, and as far as i am aware no evidence for this. Not a particularly balanced view of Cromwell who was able to have a laugh and joke at times but comes across as the stereotypical miserable git. OK, its entertainment and a big chunk of history has to be compressed into a short film, in this regard it is engaging and the acting is believable.

Inexpensive footpump

This pump is ok for occasional use. Not a heavy duty item so i don't expect it to stand up to much hard use. The price reflects the quality(or lack of it).
