Ruff ruff, arf, bow-wow.
So this is a Laika movie directed by Wes Anderson and originally written by patrica Cornwell as a book. The movie takes place on trash island, so named for all the trash Japan dumps there. When Japan wants to rid itself of all the dogs, that's where they send them. A little boy who misses his dog goes to the island to find his lost pet. The catch is the boy is the son of the may responsible for getting rid of all the dogs in Japan. How embarassing right? I won't say more expect this is wonderul and whimsical movie that makes you feel good. The stop motion animation is wonderful as per Laika's usual standards. Wes Anderson adds his touch as well to a great story. This movie does touch on some adults themes, however, nothing that's going to ruin your children forever; that's your job as a parent.
