Street Glide Rear Suspension Improvements

I purchased the Progressive Suspension touring shocks on a recommendation form another Street Glide owner. Removing air suspension and installing the Progressive shocks were very easy with all hardware included. I read the instructions on setting sag, however elected to try the shocks with no sag settings, which means they are set up with the least amount of preload on the springs. I must admit, I was disappointed after a 150 mile test ride through some our Louisiana's ultra smooth highways. (Yea, Right. Any one who rides here knows better) After that test ride, I set the sag as recommended and this turned out to be approximately 30% to 40% preload on the springs. This made a huge difference. I couldn't say like Day and Night, but for you Street Glide riders out there, trust me, that factory air suspension is a sales pitch. Keep the bike. Junk the air suspension. Overall, I am very pleased with the product. Now, if I can just get the front suspension to react better, I'll be a happy rider.....

Great grips even in non-traditional use.

I used these grips to fix a problem with the Harley Davidson Heated Grip issues on the touring models. So, the grip was used in a special application rather than as normally intended. So for me, it worked out great.
