Good book on a rare subject
This is a great source of information on Aviation Engineers and their war in the Pacific. It is actually a military mastsers thesis written by Major Nattalie Pearson in 2005. Most public knowledge about base construction in the Pacific theater has been associatied with the Navy Sea Bee's. In this book The Major goes into detail about the Army construction forces under Gen MacArthur and Gen Goerge Kinney. Finding information on these forces in the war is difficult and here is a great source.

Great Book
If you like excellent profile art and well rendered pictures of aircraft this book should not be passed by. It may not be the most complete technical book but that is not it's stong point. The art is. The large format of the book allows for bigger pictures. All the profiles are in 1/48 scale so they are bright and pop off the page. Also the 1/48 scale is great for modelers. Included in the book are all the US, French, and the racing Corsairs.
This is a book that belongs in any collection of Corsair books AND based on the excellent art, in any aviation library.

Halifax
This book's value is in the personal accounts tied to the various ops that they went on. Not a technical book , but a personal one. Good read for anyone interested in the RAF and the Halifax.
