Musical! Unbeatable value, accurate, smooth, fast, loud.
These speakers are outstanding. Considering the price, they're mind-bogglingly good. I had great reservations about a 4" speaker, but they play low enough to meld effectively with a factory 8" sub, and play plenty low to give the illusion of deep bass, if not the substance of it.
What these do incredibly well is the midrange and highs. Vocals are stunningly accurate, strings, horns, flutes, drums are all rendered with almost-mesmerizing accuracy. I listen to everything -- speed metal to single-mic string quartets to chant to full-scale orchestral works to baroque organ to Snoop Dogg. These Rockfords are tight, fast and natural from about 80 hz all the way up. They also throw a very nicely-rendered soundstage, from their mounting position low in the doors, quite high and natural. They also play plenty loud, and hang together very well at louder volume, powered by deck power only from a decent JVC head unit (KW-HDR81BT)
These compare quite favorably with the $400.00/pair Morel 6" mids I had installed in a previous car. For the money, simply unbeatable. I wish I had the room in my car for a 5" or 6.5" version -- I would think that would be that much better.

An Icon of Digital Watches

I purchased this because of its place in the history of wrist watches -- the whole industry has come full circle from the quartz disruption of thirty years ago, to the present day, with the finest handmade mechanical movements ever available, some costing many thousands of dollars -- and this watch, to me, represents the undeniable success and worldwide proliferation of the digital quartz watch.
All that aside, it's incredibly simple and maybe even elegant, with a a great design to the case, very legible display, very nicely made, tapered steel band, owner-adjustable band length, and basic timekeeping functions that are easy to access and use. The alarm is loud enough to wake me up, and it sounds for twenty seconds. It's easy to set, and keeps very good time.
I chose this over the slightly more retro and classic A158 to have the updated electroluminescent (EL) light instead of the small LED which is on the A158. The A158 case is slightly smaller and thinner, and some owners prefer the display on that watch, finding it slightly sharper, with better contrast. I find the display on my A168 watch to be very sharp and legible, so your this is a matter of opinion, and a very small difference if at all.
Casio makes somewhere around three million of the modules in this watch annually. It's an incredible successful design. I have thoroughly enjoyed using this watch. You really can't go wrong here -- it cost me $17.50, and represents incredible value -- better function per dollar than any of the other fine watches I own. I'm not going to wear it to a job interview or with a suit, but it does make a statement of function, value and even design.
