Excellent parts quality. Check your assembly before using.
In a word, these shocks are great. They are very smooth and have an excellent dual-rate design. I installed them on an HPI Savage XS Flux as an upgrade to the stock shocks, and have been very pleased with their performance.
My only gripe is in the quality of the assembly. They are sold as pre-built, but in the two sets that I bought there were a few loose parts. On two of the shocks, the nut that holds the piston on the end of the shaft was loose, allowing the piston to move up and down on the shaft. The other two had the lower cap (the one that the shaft passes through) barely threaded onto the shock body.
Once these parts were properly tightened and the shocks were filled with oil, however, everything has been smooth sailing. They have survived several crashes and eight foot high jumps, and seem to be as good as new.
