what good is protection from a $25 problem?

Decent . . not great
3 of 3 found this helpful These speakers are neither bad nor great. In fact, they sound pretty decent. I bought them because the otherwise excellent speakers in my 32" HP monitor didn't have enough bass for my 70 year old ears.
I bought these speakers because I have always been satisfied with Logitech products and I wanted a set of speakers that had a subwoofer. Their speakers, in my experience, always sound good and have always been reasonably well made and this set doesn't disappoint . . much.
In fact, they are clunky looking and sound "muddier" than my monitor's built in speakers (which have multiple mid-range drivers). The subwoofer gives me about half the bass that would please my sensibilities and, at $70 for the set, I guess I have gotten my money's worth.
