The 5900 rpm Seagate NAS drives are what you want. Absolutely 100% silent and reliable.
The Seagate 2014 era drives are absolutely 100% reliable. I feel like this is a hidden secret. I bought used old Seagate drives with 50,000 hours on them because I have had 2 of the NAS drives running for 7 years without a single reformat or single error.

Mounting hole is too large for small screws.
Fatally flawed design. The screw hole should be half as large in diameter. It's such a large screw hole, about 1/8" of wide, that small screws won't work. There is no reason to have the hole as large as it is, because most self tapping metal screws are very small diameter. As well, most electrical screws are either 6-32 or 8-32 in residential and commercial wiring. There isn't a valid reason why the hole is so large on these. At least make the hole 30% smaller.

Bought a WM-61B Electret Condenser Microphone. Sounds as good as V-Moda Boom Pro.
This little WM-61B is amazing. I am not certain why the pictures of the instruction manual show a surface mount version of this, but I bought the item with the round gold pins and the little green circle around the positive pin, called the WM-61B and it sounds excellent. It requires an amplifier to be bought for $5 off eBay or made yourself using a 2N-5088 transistor or an MPSA18 ultra low noise 30 cent transistor.
