Arctic Cooling F8 TC 80mm Case Fan 2000 RPM (AFACO-080T0-GBA01) AC Artic

    Almost Perfect
I bought this, and an F12TC, mainly to reduce the fan noise. It has indeed made the PC much quieter, now I'm left with just the cpu and exhaust fans to find replacements for in my quest to make the tower as quiet as possible. Temperature wise though, in stressful benchmarking, the mobo was 2-3 celcius higher than when using the fan it replaced. 2-3 celcius also on the cpu. For my set up though, these figures are still well within safe limits for the hardware. Overall I am completely happy, as it is noise reduction I was going for, knowing there will be a small increase in temperature inside the case. The heat sensor on the fan is also very lengthy and 40cm, it can be placed pretty much anywhere in the case.

    Good for the basics
Bought this as a lightwieght compact tool. The 1GB of ram is only just enough to run a couple of apps at a time. It's also barely enough for browsing with a couple of tabs open in chrome, so make sure you are prepared to spend an extra 20quid to upgrade to 2GB (the maximum this system can take). Other than the memory, the system is ideal for my use, which is web coding, light graphic design for web pages, word processing, and other office apps. There is enough power in this little thing, to decode mkv files and all other popular video formats, making it double up as an ideal portable video player. The speakers are not brilliant, which you shouldn't expect in a small system like this anyway. They are however, ideal. The screen is very vibrant, and for perfect sightedness, is very usable with no eye strain. The touchpad works, but my personal preference is always to carry a mouse, as it is more efficient to keep a good workflow. The keyboard is small, I wouldn't recommend it for fat fingers, nor would I recommend using it for long periods at a time, it's far to cramp like for constant use. If you want something simple and small just for web browsing, with the processing power to do optional work that is best suited to a pc, then this is definately ideal for you.
