A little pricey but for the collector a fair deal considering it came as 2 CDs. The Searchers - Loves Melodies- An unheralded classic album !
The Searchers were second only to the Beatles as a group of quality singers and musicians coming from Liverpool in the early 1960's beat group era. Unlike the Beatles, they lost momentum around 1967 due mainly to the fact that they wrote very few of the songs they released, often making poor choses as to what was marketable. But , with this release from 1980 they chose exactly the right tunes ! Again, most of the songs here were written by others but Loves Melodies is a strong album that should have re-established them as hit makers and helped them claim their rightful place in the pantheon of rock music's early and best vocal harmony , jangle guitar greats ! If you don't have this cd, you need it, it's that good !

Bee Gees Japan shm cd release not up to par
I am an avid music listener and someone who owns hundreds of Japan shm audiophile sound cd's and accustomed to paying premium prices for them. Having said that, the 2022 rerelease of The Bee gees 2 Years On Japan shm cd issue is a bad buy at any price. The sound quality is poor, maybe even terrible as per what one should expect of a Japan shm audiophile cd release. As a matter of fact, my 2003 USA standard issue of The Bee Gees 2 Years on blows this new one away. An A/B comparison solidified that for me. I have been greatly disappointed in the last several Japan only audiophile cd releases that I have purchased, in both shm and UHQ formats .It seems that sourcing the actual master tape and doing proper mixing and remastering is no longer a given when buying these cd's as it once surely was. I would suggest that anyone wanting this particular disc look for a used USA or UK mastered cd from a few years back and you will have a much better listening experience.

Poco - Head Over Heels indeed !
As a longtime Poco fan, this is probably my favorite Poco album. Not a bad song in the bunch and the sound quality is excellent on this Japan shm mini lp edition. Although founder Richie Furay was no longer in the band by the time of this release it still retains the classic Poco vocal harmonies and sound. This album is reminiscent of the Richie Furay years. Paul Cotton is at his very best on this album and seems to channel Furay's soulful vocal style to keep the tradition alive. A must have for any serious Poco fan !
