Better Karate Kid.
I actually like it better than the Ralph Machio [sp] original. Jackie Chan is perfect. Jaden Smith is believable. It's all good.

funny, believable, engaging. A rewatchable movie.
I am DeNiro's age. The situations in the film are so applicable, and some generation x-ers are so clueless about the past.

Books, Banks, Buttons
Middle Ages and Renaissance history explains the source of much of what we accept as commonplace today. My history preference is for the minute, rare, individual occurrences rather than the broad reviews of kings and conquest.
This book follows my preference. The version I bought is a large, oversized format, and is in generally good shape. The art reproductions that accompany the text are numerous and detailed. I love it.
