Good quality soldering iron
I advised buy this one by my relative who has been an electronics technician for almost 40 years, as this make & model is dependable & long lasting and good for average users too. You can even buy a few extra different soldering tips for it too

A decent large bag for long distance touring for week(s) at a time
1 of 2 found this helpful Oxford is a dependable brand name that you can trust with certainly not the best on the market, but it will do the job.
However, as the seams are taped and the interior has polyester like inner coating of the material to give it that waterproof/rainproof protection along with sealed zipped area under the protective top flap. Even though it states that I've got Nelson Rigg Panniers that have also got rain covers to deal HEAVY persistent rain, and so for a few pound extra I purchased an orange waterproof rain cover with a toggle tie along with a cross strap designed for backpacks because I truly want to make sure this T45 bag (holds up to 50L or so) can remain bone DRY with rain bucketing down on a motorway along with improving my visible presence to other road users.
Yes, the T45 is best suited for ONLY long distance touring because it's max capacity is approx 50L, and so if you're looking say for 2/3 days top running about then this big certainly not for you because its' really for going away for week(s) at a time. So, if it's 1 or even up to 2/3 day trip then look at the T15 or something similar volume of space that you can pair up with panniers or not?

Excellent brand of tyres
This tyre is FAR better at holding in the air for longer periods between uses of the air pump, as the generic ones you get from Halfords are utter rubbish as they blow out to easily and lose air to quickly too.
Yes, I do highly recommend the Continental brand as totally trustworthy, as you can easily see that the quality of rubber & construction is far superior to Halford's generic brand.
