Christopher's is my go-to brand
2 of 2 found this helpful First, don't let the word 'comfrey' scare you. It is a wonderful healing herb that has been used effectively for centuries. ( I am running into the conundrum of 'not being a dr.' - not making claims on product's effectiveness or use - sigh...look up the uses ~)
The first order of herbalism: "Know your herb." (Ie: Don't take this willy-nilly and then say it doesn't work, or say that it harmed you. Herbs do what they were designed to do. Use them wisely and responsibly. Have clear body eliminative channels.)
That said, I trust Dr. Christopher's products and formulas hands- down. Using the WHOLE herb and not isolated chemicals in an herb makes all the difference. Most of Christopher's formulas have a intentional mix of herbs (not comfrey salve - just comfrey, E.V. olive oil and beeswax) that support other body organs to rebuild and heal as well as help with clearing the body's eliminative passageways. Not many other herbal formulas that I know of do that. They work wonderfully for me and our family.
You will be all the better if your body's eliminative organs are clear and functioning. (Colon, liver, kidney, blood stream.) Otherwise, the herbs will do their work - but they won't have anywhere to eliminate it out of the body due to a congestion in the 'traffic flow', so to speak. Clear those channels herbally first, then take the formula/herbs to address situations. Diet is also key - junk in (non-food) is clogging the channels. It all is a package and returning to wholeness. Then herbs work WONDERFULLY. (No dr's... not for this house.) Work WITH the body, not against it.
This comfrey ointment is a light green and the texture is firm, but not unspreadable. Due to the tendency of olive oil to get rancid after a while, refrigerate ointment after opening to prolong that from happening.
( I have not refrigerated some salves, and yes... the smell gets a bit 'off' (the olive oil) but it doesn't affect the effectiveness of the salve.)
The salve will last forever - so stock up when you see it on a good deal - or better yet, grow your own comfrey and you can make your own salves.

Great fireplace for the money
1 of 1 found this helpful Item shipped very quickly in two boxes; one with the heater unit, and the other larger, heavy box with the wood pieces. Boxed with rigid styro and individually wrapped, these wood pieces are heavy (!) and nicely finished.
(The hardware bag and instruction book are in the larger box... towards the bottom... keep unpacking.)
Every piece has a coded sticker (even a right or left side) that coordinates with the step by step instruction book. The hardware bag is even coded and divided into sections.
The 'marble' surround is a formica-like photo on mdf, but it looks quite good... considering the price of this piece.
To assemble, one needs to have your own phillips screwdriver. It helps if you also have a tool with the octagon tip of an allen wrench (...the little one provided is not very user-friendly.)
Note: it really helps to be familiar with how cam bolts and locks go together ( check YouTube ) as there are a few of those to put together in the vertical joints of this piece. Company says that this should take about 60 minutes to assemble. ( Took me quite a bit longer, because of needing to learn how to use those cams first...)
Bottom line - a stylish electric fireplace that is quality made. Recommended hands-down.

The One You Remember and Loved - GET THIS ONE
Always washing our dishes by hand for over 25 years, our old Rubbermaid dish drainer tray was cracked after many years of use. I saw this one - read the reviews and description that it is the classic old RUBBER kind - not the newer plastic version. Woo-HOO!
I ordered it and indeed - it is exactly like our old one but a different color.
Made from that old-school kind of semi flexible rubber that is raised in the back, and has the lip that dips down in front to drain into the sink. (We have a set- in sink, so I use a cutting board or dish towel under the drainer to raise everything up a bit in order to clear the sink edge.)
Love - love - love this old kind of Rubbermaid tray. Worth every penny, and is good for another ten years. Get one!
