Better Than I Remembered
Seeing the old black and white classic for perhaps the 50th time in the past 40 years was particularly exciting because the quality of this DVD is superior! I was so pleased by the clarity; the wonderful shadowing which carried the visuals through emotions, drama, and intrigue that only black and white can convey. The sound track was also crystal clear, holding and conveying drama. Orson Wells , Loretta Young and Edward G. Robinson are at their best in this film. My 52-year-old son watched it with me for his first time and was totally emersed.

This disc of Hamlet has become my favorite of all the performances of that playat play that I have seen. So pleased
The actors are superb, speaking freely without pretentious stagey roar.
The camera work is splendid - never leaving the viewer in the dark.
The sets and costumes are great..
Viewers who know the speeches will delight in their clarity and believability since the actors speak normally, with believable emotion..
