Camus wrote Myth of Sisyphus while still in his 20s. In spite of his young age, he provides a thoughtful discussion of life for a world about to enter WWII. At times it's difficult to determine where he stands on living an absurd life. However, like the bestselling author Viktor Frankl, it's clear that Camus communicates that a meaningful life is possible even under dire circumstances.

Routledge Guidebook to Kierkegaard is first rate.
This companion to Kierkegaard is very readable to the nonspecialist. Kierkegaard is by nature difficult to understand. His concern with the very difficult to comprehend story of Abraham and his near murder of Isaac will probably never be fully grasped, but this companion book helps a great deal. By the way, I always check the publisher before buying books. I can always depend on Routledge to provide a scholarly presentation that does not insult the reader's intelligence.
