Fit my need
I wanted physical volume controls, with mic monitoring available. Official xbox adapter doesn't offer mic Monitoring, and with the newer controllers w/built in 3.5mm jack, you have to go into settings to change volume (not easy on the fly in the middle of a game). This adapter gave me the best of both worlds.
