Dolby Broadcast Loudness Meter Model LM100
Sep 27, 2017
A must-have for broadcast production.
The Dolby LM-100 is an industry standard meter, with the ability of monitoring all aspects of digital or analogue audio signals. Both digital (coax) and analogue (XLR, and RF) are available
In digital mode, detailed information about the bitstream is available to the user. Audio from 1.0 to 5.1 can be analysed according to several different loudness standards: ITU-R BS.1770-2 and -3, Leq(A) and others. Digital VU/PPM meters are available.
The units can be monitored via serial port, and the data can be recorded/charted via a PC-based application.
It is recommended to update the software on your unit to the latest available from Dolby!

Ergonomic, user friendly, fast, capable and reasonable cost - superb!
20 of 20 found this helpful What a great device! Good screen quality, good battery life, very responsive in all applications. Since it runs Andriod, there is lots of apps available to suit your taste and needs. Excellent web browsing experience, too. Seems to me like a 7" tablet is the perfect size for what I need, when my Android phone won't do.
The screen is very crisp, bright, and the touch response is very sensitive and accurate. In fact, I noticed a few times that simply hovering over the display can activate controls/buttons - sometimes unwillingly.
Plus, there is the price. Amazon definitely found the sweet spot for this type of device. I, personally, believe that it is worth the $200 price tag. I admit that it may not be for everyone, but it does lend itself very well to many tasks.
