End of Summer
This movie was a pleasant surprise. Not only did it hold my interest
and make me smile, but it had me mesmerized by the superb acting.
Seeing Jacqueline Bisset in any role is a treat. She never picks
the same type of role twice and here, she plays a spinster, very
believably. (Although she is the most stunning spinster I've ever
seen!) She adds dimension and depth to a role that could have been
shallow and one-dimensional. Peter Weller and Amy Locane are excellent,
too, as are the supporting players. The movie takes its time but is
not boring. Stick with it and you'll smile too.
