Speaker Basket - Peavey, 1505-8 DT BW RB, 8?

It's a snap!
Very easy to change. Just 3 bolts and the magnet lifts off the old basket. reverse the procedure to put the magnet onto the new basket. Just be careful you don't damage the voice coil when lining it up with the magnet. I found that it may be easier to lay the magnet with the voice coil slot facing up and bring the basket down to it because its much lighter and easier to handle. I then slid the speaker off the edge of the table to expose one of the bolt holes. I placed one of the bolts into one of the holes and spun the basket till I could feel it line up. I then tightened the bolt slightlly and turned the speaker over to put in the remaining 2 bolts. The basket has a recess in it that the magnet fits precicely into, so you don't have to worry about the voice coil rubbing. Worked great!

Labor Saver...........BUT!
This does work pretty good, but sometimes I have to play with the jaws to get them to engage the stem of the bush I'm trying to pull. I'm trying to get it adjusted correctly to make this job easier. I think the problem may be the spring that's supposed to pull the jaws closed. It doesn't seem to be positioned correctly, so I'm trying to find a way to fix that. Also you must get the release lever in the right position on the handle. The instructions don't help much in that regard.
