Why 3 fans?
The HP ML350 G6 has an acoustic option on later firmware but only when 3 or more fans are installed. The difference in reduced noise from the server is substantial and if being used at home - WELCOMED, good old and reliable servers if now a little outdated, can still run just about anything you throw at it and significantly upgradable - relatively cheaply.

Q Acoustics 2050i
1 of 1 found this helpful They were not the best buy for so many years for no reason and not just for any reason but every reason, they are simply almost perfect. Especially since you can now buy them new for less than £300 and half that second hand. In fact the only reason the 2050i are not perfect is the fact they have the inputs on the under base, STUPID IDEA but they changed this with the later 3050. Sound wise you simply cannot fault them, loud, clear and tight, replaced my B&W 602s with them, loved the 602s but they looked dated and I fancied a change, well pleased I did, Couldn't justify the extra £250 for the newer updated 3050 version, they are simply good enough.... WARNING, they are VERY heavy.. which helps keep them routed to the floor and I am sure is 50% reason why they sound so astonishingly good.

Its a Porsche, the name says it all and made by SIemens, enough said.
Simple replacement as part of the Porsche set of appliances I left the wife with. There is simply no other set of appliances that match the Porsche designed Siemens range, Sad its has been discontinued because although the initial outlay may be a little steep, you get your moneys worth long term. Therefore I am forced to source the individual appliances second hand, why anyone would want to sell them beats me, there loss my gain. However even second hand there NOT CHEAP as there is still a good demand for them from others with a similar experience of them as myself
