My Tree
I purchased this book because I wrote it 34 years ago and wanted another copy. It was originally published in Japan, but the English translation of the Japanese was not appropriate for American children as it contained references to having written 'a letter to a lover', so CarolRhoda Books asked me to write 'words to go with the pictures'. I used the first sentence of the English translation, which I believe was "A tree stood in my garden long before I was born" and from that point wrote my own words. I love the book, but that is a totally subjective response, since it is my book. I can comment on the illustrations, more objectively, since I did not draw them, and I think they are lovely.

A Great Pfaff!
This is a Pfaff machine that was made in Germany. It sews beautifully and has a lovely sound to it, as it sews...no clackity clack that one gets with some of the newer machines. It is everything I was hoping it would be. It did not come with the instruction book, but I found that for free online. It also did not come with any feet other than the one foot that was on it, so I will be looking for those. I have already ordered a supply of bobbins for it, since only one bobbin came with it. This is an older machine and I did not expect it to have all of the original items. I am just thrilled to have it at all. I love Pfaff machines for the built in IDT system they have... I have not had a chance to explore all the features of this machine, yet, but I am totally pleased with the basic sewing functions I have tried, at this point.
