Item was new and worked for my hp office jet 6500 A plus printer.

Great quality
The part was new but will not fit completely on. It sticks up a little but functions. Could be because it's a new part on a machine that's over 10 years old. So, if you are wanting it to fit properly so your machine looks cosmetically perfect, it may not.
