Sony XR83A80L for the Win!
After months of research and comparing manufacturers offerings we purchased this 83” Sony A80L. This replaced a 50” Panasonic Viera plasma that we purchased in 2008. We couldn’t be happier with the new Sony, it is leaps and bounds better than the Plasma it replaced. The new TV has an amazing picture, great sound quality, is plenty bright and the user interface is easy to navigate, fast to respond and offers lots of program options. We chose this model for the size (large living room) and for the fact that it has a built in heat sink and Sony’s XR image processor. When we first set it up, I thought maybe we should have gone with a 77” as the TV looked huge in our living room however, after a few days it seemed to shrink in size and we now think it is perfect. If you read reviews about this particular model from Sony not being bright enough, I would disregard them completely as it is much brighter than our previous Plasma and we actually have the brightness turned down in our very well lit living room. The remote is easy to use and response is quick. Picture quality is amazing and the colors are beautiful. The interface allows us to watch all kinds of programming including YouTube Videos, live news, Netflix, etc… Highly recommend this Model from Sony and hoping we get as many years of enjoyment from it as we did the previous TV it replaces.

Great Replacement for the Toto UltraMax II
Purchased the Toto SS214 seats for our UltraMax II Toilets. The original seats were the SS114 and we wanted to try the newer style seats made for the Soirée. The SS214’s are more comfortable (legs don’t fall asleep anymore) and they cover a larger portion toward the rear of the toilet which keeps the toilets cleaner. They also have a slightly larger opening and modernized the look a bit. Same quality as the original seats, fit perfect and included the hardware for mounting. Hopefully these last as long as the old ones which we got 10 years out of.
