All metal general-purpose drill chuck
After looking at quite a few replacement chucks for a drill/milling machine I finally settled on this one. It is all metal construction that should hold up much better with the oil and mounting/dismounting from the machine. Although I prefer a machinist's keyless chuck the table top drill machine has a very short range of motion and over-all work-height limiting the length of the chuck to something like this or a collet if I need more precision. size is typical of general purpose keyless chucks today and the one I purchased has threaded whole for mounting. The finish appears to be something more than just paint, perhaps clear coat over black oxide and is fairly durable. The chuck operates smoothly through its full range, clamping very securely and is comparable to other well-functioning chucks of this type. I measured the axial runout and found it to be .002" near the jaws and at 2" away on a shaft clamped in place which I think is quite good considering this chuck is commonly used on something like a hand drill. I measured the run-out on a well known name brand chuck before purchasing this one that was also new, the run-out was 012". I would certainly purchase another one having used it a while and consider it of sufficiently good precision to do most of what I have in mind.

Sometimes simpler is better!
4 of 4 found this helpful I purchased this thermostat to replace an old analog one that lacked precise temperature settings. The thermostat control the climate of a large multipurpose room and there was no benefit to having advanced settings. Honeywell has always been a go-to brand for me and I am still pleased with the brand after the added use of this product. This is a very simple thermostat with just a heat, off and cool settings. The only other settings are for the fan, auto and on, with up and down arrow buttons and temperature display to control the temperature settings. It does not have a back-light in the display but nether did what it replaced. The unit uses the typical two AAA batteries for power to operate. instillation is simply two screws in the back mounting plate that in my case lined up with the old thermostat's mounting holes. Electrical connections are via a terminal strip that is clearly marked. The instillation directions provided with it are clear and step by step. Having the actual temperature setting on the display but with out added complexity and cost in a quality product is a refreshing thing!

It works!
I have used a number of these from different vendors with mixed results. I was pleased to find this one works as intended and appears be of good quality. I didn't purchase this because I need the extra tools but was surprised to find the mini screwdrivers to be better than average as well.
