Great trackpad, no need to upgrade.
2 of 2 found this helpful If you get a lot of use out of force touch this is a great track pad. Having it recharge via a lightning cable is also a really nice feature. The larger surface area of the previous trackpad is a nice improvement, but not a game changer. If you are looking for an external trackpad this is a great option despite the extra cost. However, if you have the previous generation you're missing out on /that/ much.
