Makes a world of difference in steering
I put these composite skids on my Ariens 28SHO and am really impressed with the improvement in steering on asphalt. Just cleared my 400 foot driveway twice today and didn’t have to fight to steer going up or down a fairly steep hill like usual! The snow thrower just glided over the asphalt and I actually enjoyed tackling the snow. With four round trips up and down (total of eight passes) twice plus the area in front of the garage that works out to be over a mile traveled and the skids were barely worn. Also made clearing paths over the lawn and stone paths super easy. Highly recommended!

Much better than the white vinyl version
I purchased a pair of these several years ago and they finally wore out. Went to the local West Marine and all they had were the thin vinyl version in white for the same price as these. Difference is night and day. Spend your money wisely and get the heavy duty version, will last a lot longer and look better too.
