Great Depiction of the Civil War
0 of 5 found this helpful I live in Gettysburg. Unfortunately, the Civil War was extremely bloody. It was about SLAVERY, even though Southerners such as General Stonewall Jackson always emphasized that “it was God’s call”. It was “to defend Virginia, his homeland”.
Fortunately for the future, the battle was won by the U in USA: UNITED. If U had fallen, North America would have repeated the bloody history of Europe — but only for a while. Most of the territory would have fallen back to Britain; a part would have fallen back to Mexico (with help from Britain and France).
