Thank you very much! I purchased this board because my USB ports stopped working on my A1278 MBP. I think the usbs shorted out when I plugged a faulty SD card into the SD slot. I haven't been able to use my USB ports since. This board booted up & got me back to creating after installing & updating the OS. I learned that the board won't recognize your HD if it has a newer OS installed on it. If your CPU has OS 10.15.7 but the replacement board has 10.11.5 it wont be able to connect and read it.
