Not the best choice for a field knife

I got this knife as a WORK knife to cut brush.and small trees. This is not a work knife. The edge rolled the first time I attempted to cut a live sapling but I had a lot to do so I kept working, 5 minutes later a big chunk of the blade snapped off. No prying, no hammering just straight chopping.The knife's design works well and the weight o the blade is good, but if you are considering it for an actual tool to use in the field I would not recommend it.

These are my first Dampeners so...

I really don't have anything to compare them to, however they did reduce the vibration in my Barnett Quad Edge. I didn't notice any sound reduction, but that wasn't the main reason why I bought them. My main concern was vibration and for that they work. My only criticism is that they dampers move if installed according to the directions. I needed to tighten them a little more than the 1/2 turn called for in the installation guide to get them to stop sliding on the limbs. All in all I am very pleased with them.
