Leupold VX-R 2-7 x 33. 30mm tube
1 of 1 found this helpful This scope is clear and bright. On the range I had an opportunity to compare it to a 3x9 1inch tube Weaver scope. The Weaver scope was usable and OK, but afterwards I used my Leupold with the 30mm tube and I could distinctly notice that it was much brighter and it was so clear that I could easily bisect the 1 inch square at 100 yards. Even though my scope was only a 2-7 power. The clarity and brightness of the optic was superior to the 3x9 Weaver scope. For its price this intermediate scope dominates its class. You would have to spend easily more than double its price to get a better optic. You can't go wrong with this scope. I also liked the Balistic Plex Reticle. It has 5 usable horizontal aiming points that can be used to "Hold Over" for more distant ranges. I have mounted it on a 7.62x39 cal rifle and its intermediate power is a perfect application for this rifle. The Scope also has a variable power RED Dot. I found the red dot very helpful when it starts to get dark and you are aiming at an area that is dark. Sometimes you lose the black reticle in dark areas...but with the red dot, The aiming point is never lost. Great feature. It also turns off automatically if the scope senses no motion....and as soon as the scope senses motion as if you picked up the rifle it turns back on. Leupold is Legendary RUGGED and its backed by one of the best warranties in the industry. If its an intermediate scope you are after.....This is the Scope for you....full of features, legendary strong and well priced. Target is 1 inch square at 100 yards and has 12 rounds through it. Fantastic Scope, Fantastic Price.
