Great CPU

Game play is smoother and cad application response remarkably improved.
System comprised of gigabyte z170a mb, 32gb j.skill ripsaw 2300 RAM, nvidia geforce gtx 970 ssc x2, Samsung m.2 ssd system drive, Toshiba 2tb storage drive, 850w psu. 4x 120mm 1x 200mm cooling fans.
Over clock with confidence if you so choose. I run my equipment at stock clocks to keep temperature as low as possible for longevity of all components.
The i-7 6700k is worth the extra few dollars. Highly recommended as prices fall.

Experiment with SLI
I've had one of the EVGA Super Super Clocked (SSC) 970's for nearly a year and have been very pleased with its performance and reliability. It consistently scores 110 fps on the Unigen Valley and Heaven benchmarks and flawlessly runs my graphics intensive software (Software engineering tools and compilers) and games (the Fallout series, Witcher series, Elder Scrolls series, Call of Duty series, etc). I'm purchasing a second identical card to play around with SLI and see how that performs simply to add knowledge and continue my 40 year adventure in personal computing. Great hobby!
