Good purchase for the price

Bought primarily for a metal detector but it has good sound fidelity for music also. Works good. Relatively comfortable. Place the volume control in mid-position and take it from there to desired level. Initially I set both volume controls for maximum clockwise (from my perspective) and had no sound in one speaker. It turned out that what I thought was maximum volume on one side turned out to be minimum.

Highest capacity aftermarket battery yet.

While not 2800 mAh, this battery has the highest capacity of about a dozen "Samsung OEM" batteries that I tested and returned as they were all Chinese knock-offs that were less than 1000 mAh in capacity. This battery is about 2000 mAh. Samsung doesn't produce replacement batteries for the Galaxy S5 any longer. All the Samsung labeled batteries being sold now are inferior Chinese knock-offs no matter how they're packaged or where you buy them. This "COMBAR" battery is your best bet.

Good for upholstry pet hair removal but not good for deep carpet cleaning.

This model does a good job on hard floors, upholstery and stairs. While it develops good suction with small attachments such as the crevice tool it is not capable of deep cleaning of carpets. Especially on deep pile carpets due to the design of the "Powermate" head. There is not much suction developed at the Powermate head and since there is no agitator bar to strike and vibrate the carpet but only a rotary brush and combined with low suction does little more than just pick up surface dust and pet hair. I primarily bought this Kenmore for pet hair removal from upholstery and other hard to get places so it serves my purpose. For large open carpeted areas in my house I use a wide commercial-grade upright Eureka, Sanitaire with a shake-out bag which does a fantastic job for deep cleaning. With the two machines, I manage to keep dust and pet hair to a minimum throughout the house.
