bamboo fly rod
The rod is beautifully finished and the wraps are perfect. Overall, the rod has a nice classic medium fast dry fly action suitable for most rivers. One tip has a slight set to it, but the other is fine. Rod is a bit tip heavy as most vintage bamboo rods are. After having several people look at this rod we believe that is is a Phillipson "peerless" of early 1940's vintage.
I look forward to fishing it!
