Very Disappointed
0 of 1 found this helpful I'll keep this brief. If you like potty humor this is a book for you e.g people drinking urine thinking it's sake. I stopped reading about half way through. This is not a "great comic novel" by any stretch of the imagination. Don't waste your time and money on this 6th grade reading level book. A better book about the 53 stages of the Tokaido is printed by the East West Center Press Honolulu. It contains reproductions of the Hiroshige Tokaido prints with a brief explanatory paragraph of each stage opposite each print.

"Prairie Home Companion Humor" is not funny
This Garrison Keillor Humor CD was a big disappointment. I listened to it once and then threw it away. His timing and pitch are way off from the "Life These Days" monologues. The "Author" story is potty humor about nasal mucus. The only story with some value is the "Pontoon Boat" which I read before in his "Leaving Home" book. Don't waste your money on this CD. A better choice is the 3 CD set "Life These Days".
