Replacement may require a skilled bicycle mechanic
The device requires installation, which is not simple. At least one part must be re-used from the original equipment— the black cable sleeve. Removal of the original unit seems to require removal of the rubber handle, which is difficult. If you need to make this replacement, you will probably need to have it done by a bicycle mechanic. No instructions are included either.

Replacement handset
This is a good product. But it is cordless. So, one of the original handsets got lost, and I replaced it.
