It worked for 1 hour

I used it for 1 hour then the next day I used it for 15 minutes I when to take lunch when I came back it didn't work anymore. I made sure there was power at the outlet.

It doesn't sound right

It sounds like if it was battery operated and had dying batteries, but it is a hardwired doorbell.
