Worth the price
This was a replacement for an older steel anchor of almost equal measurements. I'm using this on a 18 ft flats boat as this was the smallest anchor by the maker and the only one that would fit in the anchor locker. The application for usage is shallow water. This anchor is rated for a smaller boat, but I believe this to be a perfect match for my boat. I am using 4' of heavy SS chain with it. After using this set up for several times I have had no issues with using this light anchor over my older one. My experience has been that it is a simple throw it in and it will set on its own. I have gone through a couple of thunder storms with 20+ winds and the anchor has held each time while anchoring in sand. I would recommend this item and wish I had purchased one several years ago. I gave four stars over five stars, only as you have to assemble this anchor and its best to have an extra set of hands or a vice to do so.
