"slick as a whistle"
Recently I obtained a 8hp tecum. snowblower with a broken connecting rod. After the rebuild it ran ok, however I could not get it fine tuned. Turns out the spring and the control assembly throttle were both wore out. Now it runs like a new engine should. I got the part in about 4 days, For customers watching this part it's worth the money because even though your throttle appears to be working it may not be controlling the governor just right. Also food for thought I also replaced both linkage rods as well. This is like a major overhaul on your engine. By the way before you start disassembling take a picture of linkage and throttle. Put the linkage rod on the throttle before you install the two screws. You won't have to remove the muffler or the carburetor.
