A good reference and guide to quick understanding of High Sierra

Don’t let the thickness of this tome ntimidqte you. While I’m a relatively new patron of Mac from windows, this book/manual covers the fuller scope of High Sierra. The suj ct or topic matter is well divided up with cross reference notes to help you find your way thru the world of HS and how it integrates with your other Apple devices Nd services. I learned a number of what were before hidden key combinations to help me negotiate various tasks more efficiently. The content divides up the system type functions and lso discusses the application features to get you on your way. From Time Machine to Preview and more I found the book very helpful to more than the basics and understand or just the ability to properly post a question on google to get answers to more arcane problems or issues.

Linksys 5400 ax wifi 6 A great unobtrusive and preforming router

I link this router- i like the non threatening shape no horns/spikes. looks like another book on my built in shelf. It configured very fast albeit I had to get familiar with the confi screens before I found the ip reservations page and figured how to load it.my thruput is up by 50 to 100 and i also bought the MU- MiMO linksys extendter to reach my wifi irrigation head on the far side of my garage where metal tools, racks and and cars made reaching the head difficult. I have no issues now and like the router I havent figured out the access screen and mgmt of the usb 3 socket on the router. I'll get to it - as its a little convoluted compared to the EA7500 which had 2 USB sockets( a 3.0 and 2.X) NB- only certain model versions ( outside the USA) allow the router to be meshed with a sister router - check the features at linksys One thing it didnt do that my prior linksys EA7500 did - theres no app to access the router remotely - but thats not a big need- i can get into the router from within my home.

Govee water sensors - economical and great coverage with the hub.

These were add-on to the hub with 3 sensors. I put them behind the potty reservoirs, under the kitchen sink, b the hot water heater and washer, one of these will go in the pan under the a/c unit in the attic. While the configuration process was a little kludgy, sometimes it went very easy, others I had to retry. Instructions could be in better English than changlaise. Other wise I really like these sensors
