3000 Lumens 1080p HD LED Home Theater Cinema Projector Video HDMI USB VGA

    Home cinema at a budget
Overall I've been impressed with this projector. - It is compact and lightweight. - The image is surprisingly sharp with good depth of colour, unlike a lot of projectors I've seen, so its great for film/tv. - It has audio output which I'd not expected, and the quality is reasonable decent. - It supports a good range of input sources, including a direct tv arial connection, so bye bye big tv taking up space in your home. - At around £90, it feels like great value for 3000 lumens and 1080p HD. I've not seen any others under £100 anywhere near that spec. On the negative: - It is pretty noisy. I can't say I'm really able to give it a comparative value against another projector, but it does mean having the volume up, which isn't great at night in a house with kids sleeping, and means you're aware of the whirring while watching films/tv. - I thought it supported wifi and mobile/android device input but seemingly not. This would be great for travelling and using it remotely without the need to have a pc/laptop. - The UI is quite confusing to navigate, especially when watching content directly from a usb/sd card. - The vertical positional range, allowing for projecting above the horizontal position of the projector is the biggest weakness. You can't get the whole image to sit above the level of the projector, so it can obstruct the viewer's line of sight. - Also, when using a computer, the image isn't sharp enough to read the text, on the iplayer for example, meaning you can't browse and select without going back to the computer's screen. I've not tested it yet, but as it has the usb and hdmi ports next to each other I reckon it should support chromecast, which negates the lack of wifi connection.

    top brownie points
My kids had been wanting this game for god knows how long, and when I surprised them with this copy, they were so excited. Can't go wrong with this version. Multiplayer, ten times the fun. And a total bargain at the price.
