Solid Feature Rich Motherboard !
2 of 2 found this helpful I purchased a used Gigabyte motherboard (model ga.ep45.ud3p) two months ago. At first I had some difficulty with the BIOS not recognizing my hard drive. I updated the BIOS, solving the disk identification issue. This board has six SATA II ports controlled by Intel’s ich10 Southbridge and two additional SATA II ports using a Gigabyte SATA2 chip for a total of 8 SATA ports. I could not get the Gigabyte ports to recognize my SATA DVD drive so I connected it to an ICH10 port for the Windows install. After installing Windows and current drivers, my DVD drive can use the Gigabyte SATA ports. The now-current firmware allowed swapping the of the dual core processor for a quad core Xeon (X3370 @ 3GHz with 12 MB L2 cache). I am impressed with how many different processors this board supports. This board has so many features like dual NIC, optical sound, and 4 memory slots – instead of my listing everything, google GA-EP45-UD3P and see all those wonderful features for yourself! So far this motherboard has been rock-solid and I am extremely satisfied.
